Biodiversitas 24: 2272-2277. Many people in Nigeria West Africa have long used the leaves, stem bark, roots erinaceus Poir. as a medicine to treat ailments such malaria, ulcers, coughs, fevers. The antioxidant, antimalarial, antiulcer, P. been investigated. aim this study was determine composition, antimicrobial activity, activity leaf. Phytochemical compounds were analyzed quantified by Gas Chromatography/Flame Ionization Detector (GC-FID). test performed against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli agar diffusion. evaluated DPPH scavenging activity. Phytochemicals content extract include flavonoids (44.71%), alkaloids (19.47%), steroids (6.01%), tannins (1.73%), saponins (4.70%), glycosides (7.00%), (2.60%), anti-nutrient (12.77%). Ethanol leaves effective all selected bacterial strains (E. coli, S. B. aeruginosa). ethanol P.erinaceus at concentration 1000 ?g/mL 49.51% 27.20% 40 ?g/mL, categorized moderate This showed that crude contained pharmacologically active exhibited significant free radical concentration-dependent manner.
